  • Pre-filming for this episode took place at Ealing Studios from Tues 3 to Thurs 5 Jan 1978. 

 

  • Sara’s surname in Nation’s draft script was Ovidial. 

 

  • The original BBC transmission of the episode was hit by a technical breakdown. 

 

  • The Ortega model was made from eight Faberge perfume cartons.  An animated version of the Ortega was made by Bob Blagden from the Graphics Department.  

 

  • A sequel to this episode was released by Big Finish in 2015. Escape From Destiny, by Andrew Smith, formed part of the Liberator Chronicles Volume 11. John Leeson reprised the role of Pasco.
